Camden & Rockport

These picturesque, adjoining coastal villages are nestled in the hills above Penobscot Bay. With a combined population of approximately 7500, they are year-round communities with a diverse mix of activities and cultural opportunities. Their protected harbors are among New England's yachting capitols and three golf courses and a winter sports complex are all within a 15 minute drive. There is a full range of shopping and dining options in the greater Camden / Rockland (5 miles south on Route 1) area. Local cultural organizations include the Farnsworth Museum, home of the largest collection of Wyeth family paintings, the Owl's Head Transportation Museum, the Penobscot Marine Museum, Bay Chamber Concerts, and Maine Coast Artists. Pen Bay Medical Center, a full service hospital, is in Rockport. Knox County airport with commuter service to Boston is 12 miles south. Portland Jetport is 90 miles away.
